A small collection of tunes from the repertoire of Louis "Pitou" Boudreault (1905-1988) from Chicoutimi, Québec.

We've picked up many of these tunes over the years from jams and numerous secondary sources (and some well-informed ones at that!) and in preparation for this recording, finally got around to cross-referencing when possible with video and audio recordings of "Pitou" himself. Boudreault's style (especially his bowing) was uniquely his own, and while we didn't attempt to replicate all the details of his playing, we hope we managed to capture the spirit of his fiddling on this EP.
